"Sylvia Henze works with the means of alienation, whose graceful table arrangement turns out on closer inspection to be a battle site entwined with NATO wire and holds out the prospect of a horror dinner that literally sticks in your throat. A thematic focus for the artist is existential questions of transience, processes of time and decay, but also the political dimensions of violence and war that keep our prevailing economic system of power going at an extremely high price."
